Obama’s First 100 Days Will Be A “Failure”

Before you get all defensive because someone is calling Obama’s first 100 days a failure please realize this article is hardly about putting down President Obama.  However with that said, there are people that will say he has failed to live up to the hype.  For starters of course, he hasn’t walked on water a single time.  That alone seems to be enough to dismay some people.  On a more serious note; the issue at the forefront of the politics, the economy, is not one which can be meaningfully changed in only 100 days.

That’s right, the very same people who were “outraged” when tax dollars went to private jets and huge bonuses thought differently when it was their turn.

Democrats Initiated The SubPrime Mortgage Crisis

The enormity of the problem which is the subprime mortgage crisis has just recently, in the last year or so, been brought out to the national stage. It is easy to blame the former Bush Administration for what happened and without a doubt they do share some of the blame for their inept reaction to the situation.  Unfortunately, the current mess we are in has its roots back in the late 70′s and with the Democrat party.

Divided We Stand: The Sad State of US Politics

Politics in the United States has become a two party oligopoly.   Democrats and Republicans battle it out each election cycle and we see new faces rise and old ones fall but we are always left with our two political party system.  Sure there are no laws against other political parties but in this day and age when the size of your war chest can win or lose you an election it is very difficult for a third party candidate to win.  The two party de facto system assures this.

Democrats and Republicans are the only two parties capable of raising enough money to compete on the national political stage.  Over the years the campaign finances laws have been crafted in such a way that they benefit established parties and not the smaller ‘independents’.  Perhaps they didn’t do so intentionally but it is a by product of their dominance over the years.
