Despite what you might think or hear on the news world peace is achievable, at least in a broad sense.  Honestly, it isn’t even a very difficult problem to solve.  It all comes down to economics.  The “You have something I want” type thinking has been around since the days of Adam and Eve.  If  WWII showed us anything it was that kind of thinking is still alive and well.  Japan went to war and expanded throughout the pacific in order to bring more resources under their control.  Germany vilified the Jews because they were to convince people that Jews were responsible for their economic plight.

How To Rip Off People And Get Away With It!

Most people would say they hate telemarketers but this story will really make your blood boil. Recently the Federal Trade Commission broke up a huge telemarketing scheme run by a company called Suntasia. Suntastia schemed and stole a total of $172 million dollars from it’s victims. Right about now you are probably thinking it’s a good thing that the FTC broke up this scam…

Well the FTC stopped the scam and then proceed to fine the company $50 million dollars. Sure that is a lot of money but they stole $172 million. That is $112 million dollars that they get to keep with the governments approval. Where is the incentive to keep these criminals from victimizing again. In effect they have been let off the hook with barely a flick on the wrist. Sure $50 million dollars is a big fine but why let them keep any money at all? If anything this is sending a loud and clear message to other criminals that they should look into ripping people off in this manner because there is the potential for huge profits once you give the government their share.
